Miracle River

Our trip’s first major mishap was on Thursday morning. Our flight from Seoul to Kuala Lumpur was scheduled to leave at 9:35 am. Thinking we would have plenty of time to get to the airport by subway, Sarah and I decided to sleep a little longer.

Seoul

Bright and early Sarah and I left for Seoul. Jill still had to work. We took a taxi to their main bus station, Usquare. It’s funny because it’s clear I can’t speak Korean but the taxi drivers will always try to talk to you anyway. It was 2,000 won to upgrade to a luxury bus (that’s like $2 so we decided to ball out).

Gwangju

Since we got to Gwangju late our first night, Monday was pretty much our only day to explore the city. Jill gave us some options what to do since unfortunately, she had to go back to work.

Busan

Our weekend was spent in Busan, Jill’s favorite city. She loves it for it’s nicer beaches and because it has everything Seoul has to offer, without being overwhelming.

Gaining Courage

Tomorrow morning I leave for South Korea! Finally! My first trip since I started this blog. I am so excited, mostly because I am traveling there with one of my best friends, Sarah, to visit my other best friend, Jill (& also to chow down on some real Korean BBQ of course).
