Before I left for Korea I was really excited to write blog posts about it. I totally imagined I would be writing while I was over there. I had planned to keep my readers up to date with what was currently happening on my trip. It seemed stupid to write about it all once I got back home. As we all know, it’s important to be flexible. Things happen and plans don’t always work out the way we want them to. A couple days into my trip and I hadn’t even pulled out my computer yet. Going on trips with me is non-stop. Wake up early in the morning and we do activities until we are exhausted and go to bed. Even Sarah said she forgot how tiring it is to vacation with me. Most nights we were only getting about 6 hours of sleep. That’s why when we were traveling, whether on nice busses, or crummy airlines I used the time for some shuteye. While I was disappointed in myself for not having more content up on my blog faster, I didn’t want to let it ruin my trip. I knew I would get to it when I could.
It was also difficult to post right away because I needed wifi. When I had more time to write, it was always on busses or planes that didn’t have access to wifi. I want to make sure my blog isn’t just about my stories and memories, but I want to make sure that I am doing my best to help readers hopefully plan their own trips to the places I go. I can’t just write about awesome spots and not tell people the name of it or how to get to it. I want my blog to be as useful as it is entertaining and I hope that I have succeeded in doing that. I am still relatively new at this and I know I have a lot of room for improvement with the blog, but I hope my older posts are as informative as my future posts. That’s why it takes time to figure out what subway station to get off at or what bust to take, especially if I’m not writing it down as I’m physically getting there. I also found it more difficult to find information on the Korean places I went, since that language is completely new to me. I tried my best to get links in English if they were available.
I hope you enjoyed reading about my first big trip since the start of my blog. I can’t wait to share more with you and I would love to hear back from you. Whether it be a comment on one of my stories or a question you have on someplace I went. If you would like to see me write more about a certain subject in the future or if I should have left a certain part out, I’d love to hear opinions. Thank you so much!
